DoliDrive has been available since March 14, 2025, in version 1.0.3.

The Need

A company's documents are often stored in a shared folder, while the ERP system is located elsewhere. Finding a client's file requires switching back and forth between tools, and the folder structure is created manually—and therefore inconsistently.

Accessing Files

The module connects to the Nextcloud server using a username and a base folder, which can be verified in the configuration via a test button. The files can then be viewed from within Dolibarr, with previews of images and PDFs, and a file can be sent via email without having to download it first.

The Tree Structure That Creates Itself

That is the main feature. The tree structure is built around third parties—where prospects can be treated as customers, and the creation of records can be limited to customers with whom there has been a business relationship in the last twelve months—or around projects, each with its own master file.

A list of subfolders to be created automatically is specified once and for all, with one name per line. Three keywords are replaced when the subfolders are created: the name of the third party, the name of the supplier, and the name of the bank account—a bank account may or may not be included in this process, depending on the specific case.

The module's documentation warns of one practical issue: folder names cannot contain emojis, double spaces, or trailing spaces.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.0 or later, and an accessible Nextcloud server. Nextcloud is a trademark of its owner; the module is a client for Nextcloud.

The module is released under the GPL v3.
