How the review works
Every publication goes through a prior review, on the pull request model: submission, team review, acceptance by three moderators, automatic publication.
A security announcement takes the queue in priority: it cannot wait a week for a volunteer to come by.

These figures are measurements, never commitments: an article is published once the review has accepted it, not before. The median only covers published articles: without the age of the oldest pending one, a clogged queue would look better.
