capDoliWiki: internal documentation written and stored in Dolibarr
This announcement presents capDoliWiki in its current version, 1.3.0. The repository does not include a specific release date, so the announcement does not provide one.
The Need
Internal documentation is scattered across various formats: word processing files, a separate wiki with its own accounts, and emails. No one knows which version is the official one.
The Pages
They are organized in a parent-child tree structure, with a breadcrumb trail to help you navigate. The editor is a visual Markdown editor with a toolbar, and it allows you to paste an image directly from the clipboard. The content supports syntax highlighting for about fifteen programming languages, diagrams, and alert blocks, and automatically generates a table of contents.
What Protects the Content
Every change is recorded in the revision history, with a visual comparison and the option to restore a previous version. A lock prevents two people from editing the same page at the same time. A draft is saved at regular intervals in the browser. Deleted content is moved to a trash bin, where it can be restored, and the trash bin can be set to automatically empty after a configurable period.
Leave the wiki
A single page or an entire branch—including the page and its subpages—can be exported as a PDF. Files can be attached to each page.
Access Points
These are Dolibarr's permissions: users log in with their usual credentials, and the module's permissions determine who can read, write, and delete.
Prerequisites
Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.0 or later.
The module is released under the GPL v3.
