tpeConnect: The amount sent to the payment terminal from the invoice or cash register

tpeConnect has been available since April 25, 2023, in version 1.0.12.

The Need

At the counter, the amount is displayed by the point-of-sale system and then re-entered into the payment terminal. She types it in quickly, but makes a mistake.

What the module does

A CB/TPE button has been added to Dolibarr, and the checkout process is handled by a trigger that tracks sales. The amount is sent to the terminal, the customer pays, and the response is returned to Dolibarr.

Up to three terminals can be configured, each with its own IP address and port. The terminals are assigned to registers based on their numbers: the first point of sale communicates with the terminal configured for register 001, the second with the one configured for register 002, and so on.

The Software Agent

Dolibarr does not communicate directly with the terminal. The configuration page provides the agent to download for the cash register, as well as a configuration file for each terminal. Once launched on the computer where Dolibarr is running, the agent relays requests to the terminal over the local network using a JSON exchange protocol.

With the cash register and the receipts

This version introduces the trigger that integrates with the Dolibarr cash register and connects to the electronic receipt module: the credit card receipt is now included with the customer's receipt.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.3 or later, a terminal connected to the local network, and the software agent installed on the cash register. The supported terminals use the Verifone network protocol, a trademark of its owner.
