CapTODO: Dolibarr Projects Repurposed as To-Do Lists

CapTODO has been available since June 11, 2024, in version 0.0.8.

The Need

Dolibarr can manage projects and tasks, but its interface is designed to manage a project, not to check off what needs to be done today. As a result, day-to-day tracking ends up in a separate tool and gets lost.

Projects, sorted by category

The module incorporates the native projects and tasks: nothing is duplicated; they are the same objects. Only projects with the category specified in the configuration are treated as task lists—the company's regular projects are excluded.

Day-to-Day Life

Tasks are created from the list in a window that remains on the screen; they are assigned to a third party, have dates associated with them—the end date cannot be earlier than the start date—and are then marked as completed or archived.

Two display options: integrate the list into the Dolibarr interface or display it on its own, and enable the rich-text editor for creating new tasks.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 18 or later, PHP 7.0 or later, and the Projects, Third Parties, and Categories modules enabled.

The module is released under the GPL v3.
