This announcement introduces DoliDate in its current version, 1.0.0. The repository does not include a dated release version, so the announcement does not specify one.

Where does the module come from?

Based on the observation that organizations that manage their operations in Dolibarr turn to other solutions—sometimes non-open-source ones—to schedule appointments or assign tasks, this module brings that functionality back into the ERP.

Three Types of Surveys

  • multiple-choice, to choose between several options;
  • date search, to check availability;
  • event planning, where participants sign up for roles—refreshments, reception, parking—for which the expected number of people is limited by a minimum and a maximum.

From the Audience's Perspective

Creating a poll requires a member's email address, which is verified via a one-time link with a customizable validity period. Participants can respond with “yes,” “maybe,” “no,” or “no answer,” leave visible comments, and return to edit their responses without having to log in again. The summary table shows who is doing what, and the interface is optimized for mobile devices.

A deadline can close registration, the visibility of votes can be hidden, the email address can be made optional, and the creator can be notified each time a response is submitted.

Dolibarr Side

Polls can be accessed through the ERP: retrieving a lost administration link, QR code, adding or removing items, changing status—draft, open, confirmed, canceled—and a complete history of who voted, when, and on what. Templates allow you to recreate recurring events without having to re-enter everything. An email address can be copied on every new entry—for example, the association’s office address.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 11 or higher (version 18 is recommended), PHP 7.0 or higher, a working email system—the links for creating, managing, and voting are sent via email—and the Members module if members create their own polls.

The module is released under the GPL v3.
