DoliCollect: Run a crowdfunding campaign directly from Dolibarr

This announcement describes the current version of DoliCollect, 1.2.0. The repository does not include a specific release date, so the announcement does not provide one.

The Principle

The campaign is linked to a Dolibarr project and includes its target budget, deadline, and progress bar. Contributors sign up via a public page, without needing an account; the corresponding sales documents are created in the ERP.

Two Modes, Three Types

In "all-or-nothing" mode, contributions only become effective if the goal is reached; in "rolling" mode, they are taken into account immediately. The contributor, for their part, chooses between a conditional pledge—they pay only if the campaign is successful—or an unconditional one.

A campaign can be a crowdfunding campaign, a donation drive, or a pre-sale, each of which is tied to a Dolibarr product or service.

The Circuit

A commitment results in a sales proposal, which is converted into an order and then invoiced. A request for an electronic signature can be sent via email. Standard messages can be customized: confirmation, signature request, success, failure, reminder, and tax receipt for organizations that use the Donations module.

Around the Campaign

One public page per campaign, featuring a progress bar, suggested donation amounts, and a participation form, plus an optional home page that lists current campaigns. News posts can be published, with moderated comments, and photo albums can be embedded in the news posts. Visitors can subscribe to the news via email.

Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.0 or later, with the Projects module enabled.
