DoliSCAN 2.2.28: supporting documents that open, and the module fully usable on Dolibarr 24

Version 2.2.26 documented the setup and fixed around ten settings. Version 2.2.28 fixes two specific issues: supporting documents that did not open, and two module screens that did not work on Dolibarr 24.

Supporting documents that open

When a supporting document was not yet ready, the DoliSCAN server returned a "document unavailable" image instead of the requested PDF. The module saved it under the expected PDF name, then considered the document as downloaded: the vendor invoice or expense report kept forever a supporting document that did not open, or that showed this image.

The module now recognizes these images and only saves real PDFs. A supporting document still unavailable is flagged as such, and is requested again at the next synchronizations until the server provides it. Already saved images are replaced by the real supporting document as soon as synchronization encounters them.

To handle everything at once, the module’s diagnostics page lists these images and deletes them with one click, including the file, thumbnail, and DMS entry. Resynchronizing the documents then retrieves the real supporting documents.

Dolibarr 24

On Dolibarr 24, the payment methods setup tab displayed a database error instead of the list of bank accounts. The correction button on the diagnostics page, and the one for entering the recovery code for the admin API key, were blocked by the cross-site request forgery protection that Dolibarr 24 enables by default.

All three now work on Dolibarr 24 as on previous versions.

After the update

No reactivation or new permissions are required. Open the diagnostics page: if the section for replaced supporting documents lists files, delete them, then run Synchronize missing supporting documents from the module’s home page.

Compatibility

DoliSCAN 2.2.28 requires Dolibarr 18 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. The module’s static analysis is verified on Dolibarr 18 to 24.
