SmartLivraisons: The delivery slip is filled out and signed on site

SmartLivraisons has been available since October 18, 2023, in version 1.0.2.

The Need

The delivery slip is sent in duplicate on paper, returns crumpled a few days later, and the only proof that the goods were indeed delivered is an illegible signature at the bottom of the page.

The Tour

The delivery person opens a web app on their phone, logs in with their own account, and sees the deliveries assigned to them. Each delivery has a scheduled date, which is also used to add the event to the calendar.

Proof of Delivery

Upon delivery, the receipt is filled out on the spot: the name of the person who received the package, the location where the delivery and signature took place (recorded via geolocation), and attachments sent from the phone.

The signature collected by Dolibarr is a pseudo-signature: it does not qualify as an electronic signature under the eIDAS Regulation, and the module states this in its own configuration. For a compliant signature, it relies on a dedicated signature module, which it detects if it is installed.

Returning to the Office

The delivery report is linked to the Dolibarr delivery slip. An email address specified in the settings is notified each time a delivery is recorded, along with a link to the document. Two options automate the next steps: set the delivery to “approved” status upon receipt of the report, and update the schedules of the relevant users, adding the delivery to their assignments and removing it when the link is broken.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.0 or later. Customer receipt forms in the Dolibarr core must be enabled: this module supplements them, it does not replace them.
