ScanPdf 2.0: Document Import Now Includes Bank Statements and Pay Stubs
ScanPdf will be updated to version 2.0 on March 23, 2026. The module builds on the ScanInvoices line, retaining its core principle—a PDF uploaded, an item created in Dolibarr—while extending it far beyond supplier invoices.
Supported Document Types
| Document | What is created | |---|---| | Vendor invoice | vendor invoice, including its detailed line items | | Vendor purchase order | vendor purchase order | | Delivery note | receipt for the vendor purchase order | | Bank statement | transaction lines in the banking module | | Pay stub | salary, after the employee and net pay have been identified | | Administrative document | attachment associated with a third party, a project, a contract, or an invoice |
Recognition
The issuer—supplier, bank, institution—is identified by keywords. The extraction schemas are automatically refined with each successful import, and a shared library provides templates for the most common issuers. PDFs that consist solely of images undergo optical analysis on a remote server.
A New Import Interface
The import screen becomes a web application that can be accessed from both a desktop browser and a smartphone. Uploaded files are placed in a queue and processed in the background by a scheduled task. An option validates the created document and records its payment immediately.
The module can be accessed from two locations in the menu: under "Supplier Invoices" and from "Electronic Document Management."
Prerequisites for this version
Dolibarr 11 or higher, PHP 7.0 or higher with the intl, fileinfo, gd, and mbstring extensions. The Third-Party, Vendors, Products and Services, and Scheduled Tasks modules are enabled, as well as the token authentication module that secures the new interface. Importing bank statements also requires the Banking module, while importing pay stubs requires the Payroll and Human Resources modules.
The module is released under the GPL v3.
