What's Missing in Dolibarr

The ERP system knows whether a third party is a customer or a supplier. It cannot determine whether one company is a subsidiary of another, whether two companies are partners, or whether a firm advises one of them. Yet these connections do exist, and they often explain a business decision.

Relationships

More than fifty types are provided: legal, business, financial, technical, and institutional. Each type includes both its direct and inverse labels—subsidiary of, parent company of—so that the relationship reads correctly in both directions. Undirected relationships, such as competitor or partner, are treated as symmetric.

A "Relationships" tab is added to the third-party record, where relationships can be added, viewed, and deleted.

Cartography

The network is displayed as an interactive graph: a mini-map in the third-party tab, and an overview of all reported relationships. Client and supplier links already known to Dolibarr can be overlaid as implied relationships. The graph can be filtered by type and expanded to full screen, and a tabular list provides the same information with filtering and sorting options.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 11 or later, PHP 7.0 or later, and the Third-Party module enabled.

The module is released under the GPL v3.
