DoliSCAN (smartphone app) 2.4.12: dark mode support

Readable input once again

On a phone set to a dark theme, DoliSCAN's input fields could become unreadable: white text on a white background, to the point where you could no longer see what you were typing. The amount of an expense, the label and the login identifier were affected.

Two causes were combined. First, the app did not declare that it supported the dark theme, which led Android to apply its own automatic setting on top of the app's. Second, several fields, including the amount fields, had no colour of their own and inherited system colours that the dark theme made unusable.

Both have been fixed.

You choose the theme, not your phone

The configuration includes a new Display theme setting, with three options: light, dark, or automatic to follow the phone's setting.

By default, the app stays in light mode, even if the phone is in dark mode. The dark theme is therefore no longer applied without having been requested.

Accessibility

The system high contrast setting is now taken into account: the palest tones are strengthened and field outlines thickened.

The colours of error messages, secondary text and field outlines have also been reviewed to meet contrast thresholds in both themes.
