Facturx: Factur-X metadata added to customer invoice PDFs

Facturx has been available since October 27, 2021, in version 1.1.

What the module does

When creating a PDF of a customer invoice, the module inserts structured metadata in the Factur-X format, conforming to the EN 16931 profile of the European standard. The resulting file remains a standard PDF that can be viewed and printed, but it also contains XML data that the recipient’s accounting system can read without requiring manual re-entry.

Where It Applies

The insertion occurs after the document is generated: customer invoices, and documents created from an ODT template when they are converted to PDF. This distinction was introduced in version 1.1 based on an external contribution—the previous version applied more broadly.

No configuration required

There are no settings: the profile is fixed, and the data is inserted every time a new generation is created, or an invoice is approved or modified. It’s a module you activate and then forget about.

Prerequisites

Dolibarr 10 or later, PHP 7.3 or later.
